Job Description:

Critical tasks include reading and analyzing mechanical plans/specs and other bid documents, communicating with vendors, and communicating with general contractors/owners. We are looking for someone who can maintain relationships with current clients and develop new relationships over time.

Duties:

• Review and process bid invitations.
• Review drawings for accuracy and submit RFIs.
• Request and procure quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain file systems and compile bid documentation.
• Estimate projects from start to finish.
• Request and review shop drawings.
• Assist with project management.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Attend pre-bid meetings.
• Request project permits.
• Create purchase orders and order equipment/material.
• Monitor job progress.
• Client relationship development.

Education and Experience:

• 1+ years’ experience in mechanical or plumbing estimating strongly preferred.
• 4-year degree and/or construction experience preferred.
• Proficiency with PDF software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
