The position

We are looking for enthusiastic Activity Leaders to join our team to take the lead on our leisure programme excursions and activities, with a variety of shifts available (mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekends).

The role involves:

- Delivering our organised activities such as bowling, Cream Tea afternoons, Exeter tours and beyond, to international students aged 11-17 (training and content provided).

- Working as part of a team of Activity Leaders to deliver the Hello! Exmouth fun and care for our students' welfare.

- Being responsible for the school administration around the role (registers, records etc).

Candidate specification

Essential criteria:

• The candidate must be able to write and speak English fluently

• A flexible approach to working hours (mornings, afternoons, potentially evenings and weekends)

• The ability to deliver creative activities and engage with students from a variety of backgrounds

Desirable criteria:

• A background of working with young learners

• Experience in an EFL setting

• First aid training

Please be aware that all staff will be subject to the following checks:

• references will be followed up

• all gaps in CVs must be satisfactorily explained

• proof of identity and qualifications will be required

• reference requests will ask specifically whether there is any reason that they should not be employed in situations where they have responsibility for, or substantial access to, persons under 18

• all staff must have a current Criminal Records Bureau (CRB/DBS) disclosure

Job Type: £12.50 an hour (increasing in April). Holiday will accrue on all hours worked
