About the Role:

The Program Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and the elderly. This position involves coordinating site visits, ensuring compliance with internal auditing standards, and assisting in the management of disability services. The Program Assistant will work closely with clients, families, and service providers to facilitate effective communication and support. By multitasking in a dynamic work environment, the Program Assistant will help streamline operations and enhance the quality of care provided. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in conversational Spanish to effectively communicate with clients and families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or in disability management.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and internal auditing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct home visits to assess the needs of clients and ensure the effectiveness of services approved for.
  • Support the management of disability services by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Engage with clients and their families to provide information and resources related to intellectual disabilities and elderly care.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement programs that enhance client support and engagement.

Skills:

The required skills, such as conversational Spanish, are essential for effective communication with clients and their families, ensuring that language barriers do not hinder service delivery.
