About This Position
Job Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFAJVM) reports to the Assistant Vice President of Business Development Operations and has an essential role supporting the operational and financial strategy of the joint venture model.
The SFAJVM focuses on measuring short term/long term financial and operational goals for the portfolio of JV practices to support the execution of growth and optimization strategies. The SFAJVM supports Business Development department as the analytics project leader and works with the practices in coordination with the Site Finance Officer (SFO) to optimize financial and operational reporting, leveraging the various analytical tools available including MGMA DataDive, Withum Power BI, Tableau, etc. The SFAJVM will also support (1) annual budget preparation, (2) monthly and year to date budget variance analysis, (3) financial KPI analytics, and (4) special projects including working capital analysis, compensation analysis and transaction modeling.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare/Business Administration or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive experience working as a financial, budget, valuation or business analyst
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in excel (Pivot tables, conditional statements, and v-lookups required.)
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of business professionals at all levels of the organization including senior leadership, physicians, operations, and business development.
- Precise attention to detail and ability to adapt in fast-paced environment.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of files and reports.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- Prior healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred
- Prior knowledge of industry benchmarking data (MGMA, AMGA, etc.) and CMS physician coding/billing/wRVU guidelines is strongly preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Work in partnership with RWJBH Business Development leadership to support growth and performance of the joint venture portfolio and achieve overall goals.
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Acts as leading resource for analytical projects supporting, but not limited to, operational, finance, transaction, strategy, and physician stakeholders.
- Support and assist in the development of capex programs, budgeting for all practices.
- Support the joint venture division with financial reporting for all practices as well as financial due diligence efforts.
- Maintain various department tools and databases to ensure standards of the department are consistent across analytical projects.
- Produces complex and multi layered analyses and can interpret findings to senior leadership.
- Supports budget process and interpreting budget variance analysis.
