Reprocessing Technician - Sterile Processing at Crouse Hospital – Syracuse, New York

Schedule: 11:00am-7:30pm Monday-Friday with rotating weekends & holidays 3:00pm - 11:30pm

The Reprocessing Technician prepares and disinfects specialized instruments and equipment ready for sterilization, operates and monitors all sterilization equipment and participates in the maintenance of records indicating functionality of all sterilizers as required by law.

Education/Experience Requirements
Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of Sterile Processing Technician program or two (2) to three (3) years recent work experience in sterile processing.

Licensure/Certification Requirements
Required:

Certification as Sterile Processing/Distribution Technician or Instrument Processing Technician is required. If hired prior to receiving certification, employee must obtain within the first year of employment. Certification with the certifying agency must be maintained throughout their employment at Crouse Hospital, re-certifying as required and in accordance with the certifying agency guidelines.
