About This Position
SUMMARY: Nursing Administrative Assistant provides essential clerical and operations support to the Director of Nursing and the nursing department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists with updating and tracking appointments, lab work and the results thereof.
- Assist Director of Nursing with updating/reviewing policies and procedures.
- Organize policy and procedure manuals, assist with procedure updates, and regulatory documentation.
- Works in conjunction with Nursing department in implementing medical policies and procedures in accordance with OPWDD regulations.
- Completes review of medical reports and Medical Record (MAR) documentation, making RN aware of missing documentation or discrepancies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma/GED required: associate degree preferred. Six months medical office experience preferably within the developmental disabilities or healthcare setting; or a combination of education and experience that exceeds the above standards of the reviewing agency.
