We are looking for a Middle Operations and Shipping Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving parts, products, and materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, packaging shipments and, completing final inspection of parts to be shipped.

This position is fulltime working Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the accurate and timely processing of shipments to and from outside vendors and customers. Follow established processes and identify and adhere to customer/vendor specific requirements. Access and utilize Exostar and other customer portals to generate bar codes and other customer specific needs for shipments.
  • Package shipments following specific packaging requirements, rules, and regulations specific to each customer; reference purchase orders or review specifications. Follow the process for shipping and receiving parts, products, and materials through FedEx, UPS, and Freight shipping (R and L, FedEx Freight) to ensure safe transportation of parts to customers and outside vendors.
  • Complete Requests to Ship, Receivers, Packing Slips, International Customs Documents, Bills of Lading and follow verbal instructions in moving, transferring, delivery, and/or distribution or parts, assemblies, small machinery, equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Communicate with freight carriers to ensure all related documentation is completed for daily shipments.
  • Prepare required documentation and maintain records for all shipments.
  • Follow the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, International Air Transportation Association (ITATA), American Society for Testing Materials (ASMT), Automated Commercial Environment US Customers (ACE), U.S. Government Military Specifications, and other packing and shipping standards.
  • Verify processing documentation for accurate completion and review incoming process certifications to ensure accuracy; maintain certifications and ensure appropriate filing.
  • Visually inspect incoming and outgoing parts and provide appropriate notification if non-conforming parts are identified; update and maintain inspection outcome logs.
  • Perform production related tasks to include identifying weight and volume of parts, part marking, quality inspection, and other assignments.
  • Maintain supplies and materials for shipping and packaging.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience; strong communication, organizational skills and attention to detail; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities; knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including manual and power pallet jacks, hand trucks and scales; ability to lift parts and plates wieghing up to 50 pounds; ability to interpret technical drawings, symbols, specifications and process requirements; demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes; and the ability to effectively work and interact respectfully in an integrated collaborative team environment are required.

Knowledge of AS9100 or other quality management system is strongly preferred.
