About This Position
SAFETY SENSITIVE:
Job Summary: Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established philosophy. Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Effectively interact with patients, families, & visitors while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Provides physical and psychological support to patients and families; Supervises assigned team members.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN license approved to work in the State of Arkansas by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
- Training and Experience: Must be current in BLS, ACLS and PALS. Maintains annual unit specific competencies and education fair
- Job Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable in pediatrics and medical-surgical patients of all ages. Previous experience preferred, but not required.
Essentials:
- Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/or alcohol.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals.
Physical Demands: Standing, walking, and lifting will occur for the majority of the shift. Will be lifting, pulling, and pushing patients and equipment in cooperation with other staff or alone using proper body mechanics. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than 100 pounds. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Fine motor skills. Visual acuity. Depth perception. Manual dexterity (hand/eye coordination). Repetitive arm/hand movements. Reach above shoulders. Must be able to hear alarms.
