Ontario Christian School is seeking a qualified Long Term Sub for our Special Education Teacher. This educator will design and deliver engaging lesson plans while creatively integrating biblical truth into a rigorous, standards-based curriculum. Through both instruction and mentorship, the teacher will guide students in their academic growth while supporting their spiritual development. The position primarily involves teaching a small class of mild to moderate high school students with special needs.
The ideal candidate will preferably have 5+ years of classroom teaching experience in the applicable subject area and a passion for collaborating with colleagues in a Christ-centered environment. Experience in a Christian school setting is preferred. As a member of the Ontario Christian faculty, this individual is expected to demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a commitment to service. The teacher will plan, organize and implement a biblically based, faith-integrated curriculum that guides, mentors and develops students both spiritually and academically.
Requirements:Assignment Details
- This position is needed from August 2026 - December 2026.
- This is a full-time temporary position.
Experience
- 0-5+ years of classroom teaching experience, teaching in an applicable grade or subject.
- Prior experience working in a Christian school environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a teaching related field.
- Current teaching credential or working towards a credential in the appropriate subject area.
- Related education in the Christian faith.
- Completion of student teaching.
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
- Deep understanding and knowledge of Biblical principles.
- Best practice teaching methods.
