Bungalow is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Scottsdale flagship location, overseeing all aspects of store performance across furniture, décor, and boutique fashion. This role is responsible for driving sales, elevating the client experience, developing the team, and ensuring operational excellence — while protecting and amplifying the Bungalow brand.

WHAT YOU’LL DOAs General Manager, you are the day-to-day leader of the business, reporting directly to Ownership and overseeing the Assistant Manager and store team. You set the tone, establish priorities, and ensure the store operates seamlessly — both on the floor and behind the scenes.
LEADERSHIP + TEAM DEVELOPMENT- Lead, mentor, and manage the Assistant Manager and sales team to ensure alignment, accountability, and strong performance.
- Build a positive, motivated, and service-driven culture rooted in warmth, professionalism, and excellence.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Model Bungalow’s service standards and act as the ultimate example of client engagement and brand representation.
- Own store-level sales performance, KPIs, and revenue goals across furniture, décor, and boutique.
- Drive a consistently elevated client experience through coaching, selling on the floor, and strategic clienteling.
- Cultivate long-term client relationships and oversee outreach, follow-up, and VIP experiences.
- Maintain deep product knowledge and collaborate with buying and visual teams to maximize sell-through.
- Identify trends in customer behavior and proactively adjust sales strategy.
- Oversee all daily store operations including scheduling, payroll, opening/closing procedures, and POS accuracy.
- Ensure inventory management, restocking, and organization are executed with precision and care.
- Uphold and enforce visual and aesthetic standards in partnership with the Visual Merchandising team.
- Maintain a showroom environment that feels inspiring, intentional, and unmistakably Bungalow.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions that improve workflow and the customer journey.
- Execute short- and long-term sales, staffing, and operational strategies set in collaboration with Ownership.
- Analyze sales data, inventory performance, and labor metrics to inform decision-making.
- Communicate insights, challenges, and opportunities clearly to Ownership and leadership partners.
- Lead through problem-solving with calm, clarity, and accountability — especially during high-volume or high-pressure moments.
- Serve as a trusted steward of the brand, balancing creativity with structure and results.
The ideal candidate is an experienced retail leader who is both people-first and performance-driven — someone who understands luxury service, thrives in a visual environment, and genuinely enjoys leading a small business.
You should have:
- 5–8+ years of retail management experience, including senior leadership or General Manager-level responsibility.
- Proven success driving sales, managing teams, and overseeing store operations.
- Experience in home furnishings, fashion, or lifestyle retail is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and emotional intelligence.
- A strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution.
- Ability to multitask with composure, warmth, and decisiveness.
- A genuine passion for interiors, fashion, and elevated retail experiences.
