The Sales Manager at RealAcoustix is a senior individual‑contributor role responsible for driving revenue growth across targeted national markets through direct customer engagement, account ownership, and channel execution. This role focuses on selling custom, engineered acoustical and architectural interior products into complex, design‑driven environments where performance, aesthetics, and technical credibility matter.

This position is ideal for a sales professional who thrives in bid‑to‑spec, project‑based selling, understands the construction and design ecosystem, and can independently manage sophisticated customer relationships from opportunity identification through installation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales Leadership & Execution

  • Execute and continuously improve a structured national sales process to drive customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and market penetration.
  • Lead and develop sales across multiple channels, including:
  • Independent sales representatives
  • Distributors
  • OEM / private label customers
  • Catalog and eCommerce channels
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities for sound quality and noise control solutions.
  • Grow existing accounts while expanding into underpenetrated or white‑space territories.
  • Engage directly with key customers and strategic accounts to support growth and retention.
  • Account & Channel Management

  • Own senior‑level customer relationships for assigned national and strategic accounts.
  • Lead account strategy development, pricing coordination, forecasting, and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure proposals, pricing, and contract terms align with approved commercial guidelines.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to support customer requirements and delivery commitments.
  • Gather and report market intelligence on customers, competitors, and channel dynamics.
  • Sales Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop channel partners, and sales support resources.
  • Set clear performance expectations, territories, and objectives aligned to company sales goals.
  • Drive accountability through KPIs such as quote activity, order intake, revenue, and margin performance.
  • Forecasting & Reporting

  • Own national sales forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with key customers and channel partners.
  • Market Presence

  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Support product knowledge development and sales enablement initiatives.
  • Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • 8–12 years of B2B sales experience selling custom, technical, or engineered products.
  • Proven success selling bid‑to‑spec, project‑based solutions in construction or architectural interiors.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive growth, including new customers, new specifications, market expansion, and revenue or margin gains.
  • Strong technical aptitude with products used in acoustical and architecturally sensitive spaces; able to interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Experience selling to architects, acoustical consultants, contractors, and institutional owners.
  • Familiarity with one or more target segments: education/universities, institutional, corporate interiors, performing arts, financial institutions, or retrofit projects.
  • Experience working with independent reps, distributors, and direct sales models.
  • Strong negotiation skills, commercial judgment, and customer relationship management.
  • Willingness to travel nationally (up to ~50%).
