About This Position

About DashFi
DashFi is a rapidly growing, profitable FinTech startup disrupting the $800 billion advertising economy. Through unmatched cashback credit solutions, novel Ad Pay Protection, and AI-powered financial tools, we empower businesses to unlock new levels of efficiency, profitability, and growth.

Since launching in 2020, we’ve helped a wide range of direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands, venture-backed startups, and high-growth SaaS companies. As we scale, we're looking for exceptional talent to join us on our mission to empower businesses to scale smarter and grow without limits.

Role Overview

We're looking for a product leader with deep shipping DNA to own our Shipping & Parcel Audit product. This isn't a "manage the backlog" kind of role — you'll define the product vision, set the roadmap, and drive execution in close partnership with our engineering team.

You'll be the person in the room who understands carrier billing mechanics as well as you understand what makes a great product. You'll listen closely to customers, translate what you hear into a compelling roadmap, and work across the company to bring it to life.

This role sits at the intersection of domain expertise and product craft. If you've spent years in shipping and logistics and found yourself thinking "I know exactly how this product should work" — we built this role for you.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define the vision for the Shipping & Parcel Audit product and own the quarterly roadmap in partnership with the engineering team.
  • Conduct competitive analysis — audit platforms, carrier billing practices, contract norm benchmarks — and bring a clear point of view on where we can win.
  • Make informed build vs. buy vs. partner recommendations on core capabilities: invoice ingestion, rate-engine algorithms, automated claims filing, and carrier integrations.
  • Translate strategy into actionable product specs and user stories that engineering can execute against.

Metrics & Performance

  • Define the KPIs by which the Shipping Product should be measured and propose quarterly targets for leadership review.
  • Build and maintain a product dashboard that gives the company clear visibility into performance, customer outcomes, and revenue impact.
  • Track results against commitments and communicate proactively when targets are at risk — with a plan to course correct.
  • Contribute to commercial model decisions — pricing, packaging, and go-to-market structure — in collaboration with leadership.

Shipping & Carrier Subject Matter Expertise

  • Be the internal authority on carrier billing mechanics: accessorial fees, DIM weight pricing, SLA guarantees, and refund claim eligibility windows.
  • Support carrier relationship development to strengthen our contract negotiation services.
  • Stay ahead of carrier rate changes, billing policy updates, and industry trends — and bring that intelligence back into the product.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Spend significant time with customers — understanding their problems, validating hypotheses, and closing the loop between market feedback and roadmap decisions.
  • Partner with Sales to support customer acquisition and own the product side of onboarding and activation.
  • Develop ROI models and customer-facing narratives that clearly communicate the value we deliver.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Work closely with the engineering team to prioritize, scope, and ship.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align on goals and remove blockers.
  • Help select and manage technology vendors or auditing software partners where needed.

Experience & Background

  • 3+ years directly in parcel shipping, freight, or logistics, with at least 2+ years in product management
  • Real, hands-on experience with shipping invoice auditing — whether building audit platforms, working at a carrier, or managing large-scale carrier contracts.
  • Experience shipping products in a cross-functional environment — you know how to work with engineering, sales, and finance to get things done.
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment where processes are still being built and priorities can shift.
  • Track record of using customer and market insight to drive product decisions, not just internal opinion.

Technical & Domain Skills

  • Deep knowledge of UPS and FedEx billing: accessorial fees, DIM weight, SLA claim windows, and invoice audit logic.
  • Strong analytical skills — you're comfortable defining metrics, building dashboards, and letting data inform your recommendations.
  • Proficiency with product management tools (Jira, Linear, Notion, or equivalent) and data tools (SQL, Looker, Sheets — whatever gets the job done).
  • Bonus: Experience with AI-powered invoice ingestion, rate-engine development, or claims automation.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with TMS platforms, EDI integrations, or carrier API ecosystems.

Core Competencies

  • Entrepreneurial spirit: You thrive in ambiguity and see a blank slate as an opportunity, not an obstacle. You're energized by the chance to build something from the ground up and leave a real mark on the market.
  • Business builder mindset: You think like a founder — owning not just the product, but the commercial success of what you're building. You're comfortable operating with autonomy and making decisions that span product, strategy, and go-to-market.
  • Strong product instincts: You have a clear point of view on what to build and why — and you back it up with customer evidence and data.
  • Collaborative by nature: You do your best work in partnership with engineering, sales, and leadership — not in spite of them.
  • Clear communicator: You can explain complex carrier billing dynamics to a customer, a CEO, or an engineer — and adjust accordingly.
  • Disciplined prioritization: You know how to make hard tradeoffs and communicate them clearly without creating friction.
  • Execution-focused: You care about shipping, learning, and iterating — not just planning.
  • Customer-driven: You treat time with customers as some of the most valuable time you spend, and it shows in your roadmap.

Why Join Dash.fi?

  • 💰 Total Rewards: Competitive base salary, equity options, and benefits.
  • 📈 High-Growth Market: Parcel audit is an underpenetrated, high-value market. Businesses are leaving real money on the table every day — and we're building the product that gets it back for them.
  • 🤝 Authentic, Collaborative Culture: We hire people we trust and give them room to operate. If you love ownership and hate micromanagement, you'll fit right in.
  • 🌍 Remote-First: Work from wherever you do your best work. We've built the systems and culture to make remote effective and engaging.

This is not a role for a committee member. It's a role for a builder. If you've ever looked at a carrier invoice and thought "I can fix this" — we want to talk.
