We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our team. You will collaborate with other engineers on our team and with our partners to create high quality, sustainable utility designs to help with Wildfire/Storm Hardening, Strategic Grid Upgrades, and Renewable Infrastructure. We are looking for a self-motivated, eager Engineer to grow as part of our team in an extremely innovative and adaptive industry.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of detailed technical designs adhering to the latest utility standards, and State/Federal regulations from inception through completion of the project.
• Perform pole loading analyses to ensure structural credibility of design.
• Prepares construction packages with safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs that conform to company and client standards, safety regulations, and ensuring governmental compliance.
• Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets to be checked by supervising engineer or designer.
• Field visits to work sites to check for design viability, assess existing conditions, and ensure adherence to environmental, cultural, and any other requirements.
• Work to ensure projects progress in a timely manner and meets efficiency requirements.

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or similar Field of Study.
• Proficiency in Drafting and Modeling Software, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, OCalc, and/or SpidaCalc.
• Understanding of Surveying Principles
• Strong Typing Skills and High Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong Problem Solving and Communication Skills
• Analytical, solution-based critical thinker with innovative & creative strategies
• Exceedingly organized with strong attention to detail
• Must be flexible & adaptable to changing priorities and time-sensitive initiatives.
• Cooperative and collaborative team player
• Required: 1 year experience in an engineering discipline
• Preferred: 1 year experience in PLS-CADD

License/Certifications:

• EIT preferred
• PE welcome
