About This Position

Job Summary: Responsible for assistance in developing and managing key client programs and projects along with their cost, time and scope. Monitors teams to make sure goals and objectives are being kept. Knowledge of larger landscape without neglecting granular details while tracking project health, staying alert for risk and resolving issues as they arise. Maintains standards and monitors scope with project quality. Responsibilities include: Oversight for all aspects of projects including project planning, communication planning, allocating tasks, setting milestones, coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring and summarizing the progress of programs/projects. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. The PM will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget and will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to fulfill client needs.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business/Healthcare Administration or Communication required; PMP (Project Management Professional) eligible with certification from PMI within first 4 months of employment; PM (Project Management) experience; 7,500 hours leading and directing projects, especially larger projects with established vendors; 35 hours of project management education, and 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology management or related field. Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or other professional preferred.

Required Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills: (1) Strong problem solving skills and a collaborative approach to meeting clients' needs; (2) Highly self-motivated and self-directed; (3) Ability to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with scheduled deadlines; (4) Analytical skills with the ability to develop solutions derived from researching documentation; and (5) Proficient in MS-Office and project management applications. Special Knowledge: Epic certification in clinical and/or revenue cycle applications may be required with strong knowledge of health care delivery workflows. Experience in Agile teams and ITIL / ITSM certifications are preferred.
