Job Summary:
CPS Healthcare is seeking Per Diem Mental Health Clinicians to join our team at Plymouth County Jail in Plymouth, MA. In this role, you will provide diagnostic assessments and crisis intervention services to individuals in a correctional setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provides diagnostic assessment, crisis intervention and psychotherapeutic services to an inmate population.
- Responsible for completing progress notes and ensuring that documentation meets quality standards.
- Interrelates and works effectively with other mental health services staff, medical personnel, CPS administration, inmates, and outside support agencies.
- Maintains a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Participates fully in all site-based performance improvement activities in accordance with job responsibilities.
- Promotes effective working relations as part of a department/unit team to facilitate the department/units to meet its goals and objectives.
- Follow all security rules and regulations.
Schedule:
We are flexible and open to per diem clinicians seeking day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Compensation:
$45/hour.
Requirements:Qualifications and Experience:
- LICSW or LMHC preferred. LCSWs with correctional, crisis, or other relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
- Must be able to pass a facility background clearance
- Previous related experience preferred (correctional mental health, crisis intervention, treatment of major mental disorders, substance use treatment).
