Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Manager, the Coordinator of Transportation Services operates and maintains the vehicles belonging to the department, assists with the collection of physiological and demographic data on clients, registration via the Meditech System and with the daily operational activities of the department.

Experience

3-5 Years Commercial driving experience - Required

2 years experience in customer service field - Preferred

Valid Georgia Commercial Drivers License, Class A or B - Required

Medical Examiners Certificate in Accordance with the Federal Motor Carriers Regulation - Required

Core Job Functions
- Visits new sites to coordinate and communicate site requirements. Determines departure times for unit and conveys to staff. Operates vehicle in accordance with state traffic laws and follows correct and safe operation of vehicle components.
- Schedules cleaning , routine maintenance and required inspections of the vehicle. Inspects the vehicles weekly or as needed to ensure proper, safe functioning. Maintains a log of repairs and services rendered.
- Performs patient registration following established organizational policies and procedures.
- Timely and accurately reviews, manages, and completes required edits to patient registration via the AuditLogix system. Correctly challenges inappropriate registration errors flagged in AuditLogix.
- Assists with clinical and client registration, ordering of patient tests, roster and schedule lists to site coordinators. Reviews mammography screening results for abnormal results requiring follow-up and communicates with patients and physicians. Maintains complete and accurate records for department statistics, FDA and ACR requirements and inspections.
