We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role is accountable for equipment reliability, safety, compliance, and uptime across automated production line systems. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership with deep technical expertise, stepping in to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues while driving continuous improvement and team performance.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a technically strong, hands-on leader with deep experience in automated production environments who thrives under pressure, solves complex problems quickly, and drives measurable improvements in reliability, safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead and develop a small team of maintenance technicians across 1.5 shifts
  • Own maintenance strategy and execution to maximize uptime and asset reliability (OEE, MTBF, downtime)
  • Oversee and continuously improve the preventive maintenance program and CMMS (QuickBase)
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support during major breakdowns and critical events
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions
  • Manage maintenance budget, spare parts strategy, and vendor relationships
  • Lead capital projects including production line upgrades, automation, and equipment modernization
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and promote a strong safety culture

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related)
  • 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with automated/high-speed production line equipment
  • Advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, PLC, and controls systems
  • Hands-on PLC experience (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve multi-system failures in live production environments

Education/Experience:

  • High-throughput, uptime-critical manufacturing environments
  • Automation systems, sensors, and controls integration
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Custom or non-standard equipment environments
  • Demonstrated improvement of reliability metrics (OEE, downtime, MTBF)

Additional Information:

  • Bonus eligibility based on performance metrics
  • On-call availability required for major equipment failures
  • Hands-on support during critical breakdowns may be required
  • In office/salaried position
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial manufacturing environment with noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
