About This Position

Position Summary |
Oversees the quality of registrations for both the Admitting and Emergency room registration, ensures twenty-four staffing for the Patient Access Department, evaluates each staff member for quality of performance, monitors training for all new staff members, and ensures all new implementations involving registration are completely tested. Acts as liaison between Patient Access and all departments in HHS. Improve Patient Experience through education and exercise for staff to improve Press Ganey scores. Lastly, increase Point of Service collection for department.

Primary Position Responsibilities |
1. Plans, organizes, and coordinates activities in Patient Access.
2. Education and training of Patient Access staff.
3. Scheduling, staffing, and hiring.
4. Assumes PSR Role when needed.
5. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications |
Minimum Education:
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred:
Associate Degree
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
5 years hospital registration experience
Preferred:
Prior hospital supervisory experience preferred
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
None
Preferred:
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM)
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Excellent organizational, management and communication skills, PC skills
Preferred:
Hands-on Hospital Information systems experience
