Position Summary:

We’re looking for someone who understands local culture, thrives on connecting with people, and knows how to turn an idea into a memorable experience. As the Events and Community Outreach Manager, you will lead the public-facing events and activations that define how our property shows up in the neighborhood. This role blends event strategy, creative thinking, and strong community engagement. You will be responsible for keeping our event calendar fresh, relevant, and engaging by continuously introducing new ideas and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to bring them to life. This role is perfect for someone with a strong sense of hospitality and a natural sales instinct who can connect, pitch, and close opportunities that drive both cultural value and business results.

Operational Responsibilities:

Event Programming and Brand Activation

  • Plan and execute a calendar of brand-aligned events and cultural programming
  • Regularly pitch and develop new concepts that reflect trends, seasons, and the local creative scene
  • Lead major calendar moments such as New Year’s Eve, Pride, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Fiesta, and others.
  • Partner with DJs, musicians, performers, and artists to create dynamic guest experiences
  • Manage the logistics of each event including RSVPs, run-of-show, and follow-up communication

Community and Local Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with neighborhood residents, business owners, artists, and influencers
  • Develop locally relevant programming that makes the property feel rooted in the community
  • Coordinate outreach campaigns and maintain an active local contact list
  • Host events that attract new audiences and foster loyalty among returning guests

Revenue and Strategy

  • Balance short-term revenue opportunities with long-term brand and community value
  • Proactively identify and pursue revenue-generating opportunities such as private bookings, ticketed events, and sponsorships
  • Build relationships with partners, organizations, and businesses to co-host or fund events (e.g., local community groups, residences, vendor partners, etc.)
  • Monitor event performance using ROI, attendance, and guest feedback
  • Manage event budgets and vendor relationships while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Adjust programming based on event outcomes and changing business goals

Internal Communication and Coordination

  • Keep all internal teams aligned before, during, and after events
  • Provide timely, clear copy and creative briefs to the marketing team for promotional support
  • Share weekly updates with leadership on programming, progress, and performance
  • Coordinate closely with F&B and operations teams to ensure consistent guest experience
  • Brief and train front-of-house and operations staff on key promotion details to ensure consistent guest communication and flawless execution

On-Site Event Execution

  • Lead event setup, activation, and breakdown
  • Be present during events to troubleshoot and ensure smooth execution
  • Conduct walkthroughs and coordinate pre-event prep with partners and staff
  • Be confident and comfortable engaging with the public, serving as a positive, energetic face of the brand
  • Jump in wherever needed to support guest experience and team execution

Personal Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality, nightlife, cultural programming, or event production
  • Proven ability to communicate with confidence and clarity, with strong skills in pitching, persuading, and closing event opportunities
  • Established connections within the local creative and cultural scene, with a talent for building impactful partnerships
  • Demonstrated creativity, with the ability to develop ideas and execute them effectively from concept to completion
  • Strong organizational and collaborative skills; comfortable working across multiple departments and teams
  • Deep passion for hospitality and creative experiences, with a focus on crafting meaningful and memorable events
  • Skilled in engaging with the public through face-to-face interactions and representing the brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Working Conditions:

  • A typical work week for this position is 55 hours. Hours vary based on needs of the market and the department.
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as phones, computers, fax machines, and copiers required.
