Inspector/Sr. Inspector at Barton & Loguidice – Dolgeville, New York

B&L has an opening for an on-site Inspector/Sr. Inspector for the 2026 construction season for a sewer infrastructure improvement project. The project consists of improvements to approximately 11,000 LF of sanitary sewer main ranging from 8”-16” in diameter.

Responsibilities include:

• Inspect and document daily construction activities;
• Prepare daily diary/inspection reports and weekly progress reports;
• Measure quantities of materials used and work performed;
• Prepare/assist in preparation of monthly payment requests;
• Review claims for extra work and change order costs;
• Assist in coordination of utilities;
• Interpret contract plans and specifications; and
• Assist in coordination between the owner, contractor(s) and government agencies.

• The ideal candidate will have water/wastewater/sewer/drainage inspection experience.
• NICET II certification is required, and the ability to be approved for work in the NYSDOT ROW (Region 2).
• Basic computer skills are necessary to utilize construction software programs.

Estimated Pay Range: $37-45/hour.

Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
