1st shift position; 7:30am - 4:00pm, Mon.-Fri. Clinton, CT

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical experience to support and maintain our production equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and improving automated machinery to keep production running efficiently.

The Maintenance Technician will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of production equipment including high-speed automated packaging lines, tablet presses, mixers, blenders, cartoners, and related manufacturing machinery. Electrical experience is helpful, but strong mechanical troubleshooting ability is the primary focus.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced industrial mechanic who takes pride in solving problems and keeping equipment operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and automated packaging equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliable equipment operation
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repairs
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
  • Work with production operators to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime
  • Fabricate or modify parts as needed using shop equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance or mechanical technician experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Experience maintaining high-speed automated production or packaging equipment preferred
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment such as lathes, mills, and fabrication tools
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Electrical or electro-mechanical experience a plus
  • Self-motivated problem solver who works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively and support production staff when troubleshooting equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to wear required PPE including safety shoes and safety glasses
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings (drug test, physical, and background check)

Compensation:
Pay is commensurate with experience.
