Behavioral Health Therapist at Tuerk House – Baltimore, Maryland

Job Overview:

The behavioral health therapist provides outpatient behavioral health therapy services for adults and adolescents (age 13+) presenting with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders. This position requires a clinician to oversee a team of behavioral health therapists in addition to managing a clinical caseload. This position offers an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of skilled professionals in a brand new integrated behavioral health clinic.

Role and Responsibilities:

· Ensure the development of a clinical team.

· Perform adult and adolescent behavioral health assessments in addition to assessing client’s psychosocial needs.

· Conduct therapeutic interventions using evidence-based treatments such as DBT, CBT, MI, and/or SBIRT.

· Demonstrates positive regard and respect for clients, and uses a client-centered, trauma informed approach.

· Formulate a comprehensive treatment plan with the client that guides the therapeutic process.

· Provide crisis intervention services and referrals as needed.

· Collaborate and communicate effectively with all providers and members of an integrated team.

· Facilitate psychoeducational groups and other PHP/IOP counseling groups.

· Complete documentation in a timely and comprehensive manner and work to ensure compliance with the requirements of licensing, regulatory, and accreditation bodies.

Working Environment:

· This role requires therapists to be on-site in the clinic and meet with clients both in-person and virtually.

Requirements:

· Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling

· Possession of one of the following MD State Licensures (active and in good standing):

o Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C)

o Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor license (LCPC)

o Board approved supervisor strongly preferred

· At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the field of clinical counseling

· Demonstrate ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds
