Locate Technician at Line Quest, LLC – Boonville, Missouri

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Locate Technician to join our team in Boonville, MO. The Locate Technician will be responsible for identifying and marking underground utility lines to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in the field.

• Respond to locate requests and accurately identify underground utilities including gas, water, electric, and telecommunications lines.
• Use specialized equipment and maps to mark utility locations in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, utility companies, and customers to provide clear and accurate information.
• Document and report locate activities and any discrepancies or issues encountered during the process.
• Maintain and calibrate locating equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent damage to underground utilities and ensure personal safety.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in utility locating, construction, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of underground utility systems and local/state regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to work outdoors, including walking, standing, and lifting equipment.
