Job Description
Premier Vascular is hiring a PRN Radiology Technologist. The Radiology Technologist will work with other members of Premier Vascular to provide patient services and is expected to participate in the appropriate team activities with the objective of providing a high standard of patient and clinical service.
The Radiology Technologist's main role is to operate the C-Arm during Vascular procedures and assist physicians in procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Employee Duties and Responsibilities:
- Appropriately operate and demonstrate proper alignment of the C-Arm for vascular procedures
- Ensure proper patient positioning
- Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety
- Follow protocols to ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Provide compassionate care to patients during procedures addressing any concerns or questions they may have
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in X-ray imaging techniques and equipment operation
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to assist in diagnostic evaluation
- Ability to use aseptic technique to prevent infection transmission
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate image capture and interpretation
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing situations
