Job Title: Service Technician – Water & Wastewater
Position Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team for our subsidiary, Engineered Design Solutions, specializing in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater system components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with underground utilities, pumps, valves, meters, and related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, inspect, and repair water and wastewater system components, including valves, meters, pumps, piping and controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions and leaks.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Operate equipment and tools required for installation and service work.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with municipal, state, and federal safety and regulatory requirements.
• Provide accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
• Respond to emergency calls for service when needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
• Prior experience in municipal water and wastewater systems, plumbing, or utility installation preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, maps, and technical manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions year-round.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with pump stations, SCADA systems, or flow monitoring equipment.
• CDL license or ability to obtain one.
• Certifications in water or wastewater operations.
