Part-Time Drum Teacher - Lake Forest, CA in Lake Forest, California at Ensemble Performing Arts

About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional drum/percussion instructor to teach part-time for our Lake Forest, CA school Glee Music Academy. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON at our studio!

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. We are currently looking for a teacher to take on a part-time schedule from a departing teacher Wednesdays-Saturdays 2:30pm-7pm. Must be able to teach beginner to advanced percussion with an emphasis on Drum Set. Additional hours and days can be added, experience working with younger students and neurodivergent students is preferred. The ability to teach other instruments is a plus.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $32-$36/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 30 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
