Job Description

Join the Park Opportunity Garden

At Park, we believe a world-class landscape starts from the ground up—and that includes our team. We don’t just offer jobs; we provide a fertile space where you can plant your ambitions and watch them bloom. Our culture is built on a simple philosophy: When we invest in you, you invest in us.

The "Opportunity Garden" Framework

We’ve designed our employee experience around three core pillars to ensure you don’t just work—you flourish:

  • NURTURE: We Get It – We provide a supportive environment built on Integrity & Trust. Your wellbeing is our priority; we focus on Working Safe & Working Smart to create a frictionless environment with the tools you need to succeed without the burnout.

  • GROW: Building Capacity – We don’t leave your career to chance. Through our Employee Success initiative, we provide intentional growth plans, training, and resources to expand your skillset. If you have the ambition, we provide the ladder.

  • THRIVE: You Want It – This is where your "Can-Do" Attitude meets Empowerment. We trust you to be a problem-solver with the autonomy to tackle challenges head-on. We take pride in the tangible "before and after" of our labor.

The Role: Landscape Construction Labourer

While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the expertise. In this role, you will be the primary architect of project execution, performing the essential hands-on labor required to build stunning residential and commercial landscapes.

Your Daily Impact:

  • Construction Installation: Assist in the hands-on building of patios, retaining walls, and water features, while supporting excavation and grading activities to ensure a solid project foundation.

  • Softscape Execution: Plant trees, shrubs, and perennials and install sod or seed to transform construction sites into lush, finished environments.

  • Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely utilize hand tools and small power equipment (like plate compactors and cut-off saws) to support efficient site progress.

  • Site Stewardship: Manage material staging, site setup, and end-of-day cleanup to maintain a professional, organized, and hazard-free work environment.

  • Safety Advocacy: Participate in daily tailgate meetings and hazard assessments, ensuring that you and your crew mates are protected by proper PPE and safe work practices.

  • Winter Versatility: Transition to our snow and ice management team from November through April, providing critical clearing services to keep our community safe during Alberta winters.

The Essentials for Growth (KSAs)

To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:

  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of safe work practices on active construction sites; willingness to learn technical landscape installation methods and grading techniques.

  • Skills: Ability to safely operate hand tools and small construction equipment; strong physical coordination for repetitive tasks like digging, lifting, and carrying.

  • Abilities: High level of physical stamina and resilience; ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions; valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License (asset).

Ready to Branch Out? Your Future Starts Here

At Park, we don’t just hire—we plant the seeds for long-term success. If you’re looking for a workplace where your "Can-Do" attitude is rewarded with real opportunity, you’ve found it.

When you join our garden, you’re gaining:

  • Visible Career Paths: Clear milestones for advancement and raises.

  • Innovative Tools: Latest technology to make your job smoother, smarter, and safer.

  • Impactful Work: Pride in the physical transformation of our community.

  • A Culture of Respect: A high-trust environment where your voice is heard.
