Physical Requirements
Sitting/standing at bench and tissue culture hood for extended amounts of time. Walking to nearby buildings to use certain core facilities. Repetitive motion.
Shift
Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
Job Summary
A full-time laboratory technician position is available at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center to study the molecular mechanisms that determine the impact of mutations in tumor suppressors and oncogenes on cancer development. The current project will define how clinically relevant polymorphisms impact carcinogenesis.

This position will have a fully on-site work arrangement.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Lab safety, organizational ability, familiarity with Microsoft Excel, ability to work well with others, punctuality, reliability, and responsibility, molecular biology, biochemistry and cell culture techniques.

Preferred Education/Experience
AA or BS in biomedical or life sciences.
