Job Description

Description:

This is not a typical sales role.

If you know how to build trust with professionals, stay top-of-mind over time, and turn relationships into consistent referrals, this role is worth your attention.

If you rely on scripts, quick closes, or transactional sales tactics—this is not the right fit.

What This Role Actually Is

You are responsible for growing EPIARX’s case volume in the DMV / Mid-Atlantic region by building and managing referral relationships.

This is a relationship-first, in-person business development role focused on:

  • Funeral homes (primary)
  • Hospitals
  • Medical malpractice law firms
  • Industry associations and events

You will:

  • Build new referral partnerships
  • Strengthen existing relationships
  • Represent EPIARX in person across the region
  • Own and improve the CRM to track all BD activity and outcomes

You are not just “doing outreach.”
You are building a repeatable pipeline that drives real case volume.

What You’ll Be Measured On

This is a performance-driven role with clear outcomes:

  • Consults generated from your efforts
  • Increase in weekly case volume (DMV / Mid-Atlantic)
  • New referral partnerships established
  • Consistent referrals from key partners
  • Clean, accurate CRM data and pipeline visibility

Activity matters—but results matter more.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

  • You understand our services, case flow, and referral landscape
  • You begin outreach and booking meetings
  • You actively use and begin improving our CRM

By 60 Days

  • You are consistently meeting with target partners
  • You are building a visible pipeline in the CRM
  • Early partnerships and referral conversations are underway

By 90 Days

  • You are contributing to measurable growth in consults and cases
  • You have established active referral relationships
  • You are fully owning business development and pipeline tracking

This Role Is NOT For You If:

  • You prefer transactional or “quick close” sales
  • You are uncomfortable with in-person relationship building
  • You need constant direction or structure to perform
  • You avoid follow-up or long-term relationship management
  • You are overly aggressive or struggle to read people
Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–6+ years Experience in business development, partnerships, or relationship-based sales
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships
  • Comfortable working in-person across the DMV / Mid-Atlantic region
  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline tracking (intermediate required)
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in healthcare, pathology, legal, or adjacent industries
  • Exposure to both B2B and client-facing environments

The Ideal Candidate

You are:

  • A relationship builder — you earn trust over time
  • Self-directed — you don’t wait to be told what to do
  • Organized and disciplined — you track everything and follow through
  • Balanced in communication — confident, not pushy
  • Resourceful and proactive — you find opportunities others miss

You understand that consistency and trust—not pressure—drive results in this space.
