Sampling & Valve Technician in Kingston, Tennessee at PERMA FIX ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES INC

Non-exempt position. Perform plant functions as assigned to receive and process mixed waste.

Duties

· Operation of lifting equipment, i.e., forklift, gantries, etc.

· Warehousing activities to include: off loading trucks, loading of trucks, material handling, etc.

· General decontamination of equipment and areas.

· Process bulk mixed waste fuels.

· Perform waste fuel transfers (container to tank, tank to tank, etc.) including associated valve alignments.

· Perform limited routine maintenance of equipment and components.

· Packaging waste for off site shipment.

· Successfully complete training required by DSSI licenses, permits, and procedures.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

· High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Working Conditions

Continuous field/facility work required where there is potential for exposure to radiation, noise, dust and hot and cold temperatures. Climbing, walking and lifting will be normal daily requirements
