Job Summary
The Regional Vice President of Hotel Finance supports assigned hotels by partnering with the Operations team to drive financial performance, enhance efficiencies, and improve processes. This role collaborates with Operations, Finance leadership, Corporate departments, and Ownership to analyze financial performance, manage outliers, and partner the field on the development of both short- and long-term financial projections. Additionally, the position oversees the administration of financial policies and procedures and implements initiatives to optimize overall hotel financial results. The role reports to the Vice President of Hotel Finance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred. An advanced degree inFinance, Analytics, Project Management, or a related discipline is a plus
- Hospitality finance experience strongly preferred or in-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, and the hospitality industry
- Working understanding of major hotel operational concepts, with the ability to integrate these into financial analyses and effectively communicate insights to management and ownership
- Proven ability to work with large datasets, analyze financial performance, and prepare concise, actionable reports to support data-driven decision-making
- Strong proficiency in financial software, reporting systems, and tools, including advanced Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex operational and financial topics clearly to property and corporate leadership
- High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, thriving in fast-paced and dynamic environments
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally, influence stakeholders, and build effective professional relationships
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare financial analyses and reports for leaders, operators, and ownership to compare actual performance with budgets and standards. Interpret and communicate operational results to all management levels and ownership, ensuring timely information to maximize profits
- Partner with Operations on the development, coordination, rollout, and monitoring of operational action plans for hotels, including profit planning, revenue and expense forecasting (budgets, forecasts, and projections), capital requirements, cost control standards, and the procedures necessary to execute against those plans
- Champion and support the adoption of financial systems and processes that improve financial insights and partner on the development of strategies and programs that enhance financial performance
- Collaborate with Hotel Accounting, Hotel Finance, and Operational leadership to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, accounting policies, legal requirements, and contractual obligations (including management agreements), through effective internal controls, audits, and security measures
- Visit hotels to review best practices, test internal controls, and serve as a resource for hotel teams and their above property leaders
- Work closely with Hotel Finance leadership across divisions to ensure process consistency and share best practices
- Perform special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
