General Scope

The Account Manager with Drill Out focus, is a field-facing role responsible for managing customer relationships while coordinating and executing daily field operations. This position serves as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams, ensuring seamless execution from planning through job completion. The role blends account management with field leadership responsibilities and includes resource coordination, oversight of job execution, and ongoing customer support. The Account Manager is accountable for driving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth, while maintaining strong safety and compliance standards. This position works in close partnership with the PSL Manager to support operational execution and overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Coordinates with regional management and safety personnel to ensure compliance with all quality and HSE policies.
  • Works with PSL Manager to develop a sustainable service line team that delivers quality service while aligning with the organization’s safety culture.
  • Upholds all company policies related to safety, purchasing, human resources, and operations.
  • Uses Stop Work Authority when unsafe or environmentally unsound conditions could lead to an incident impacting health, safety, or environment.
  • Establishes and promotes general direction of the product line team for direct accounts.
  • Coordinates with sales and business development team to understand industry direction and customer needs.
  • Influences region pricing for customer requests for review by upper management.
  • Works with dispatch, shop leadership, and sales to ensure customer equipment and manpower needs are met.
  • Coordinates with region management personnel to ensure compliance with all customer requests that align with company policy.
  • Oversees all processes associated with equipment preparedness, equipment and manpower tracking, and delivery ticket creation and approval.
  • Coordinates with the Region Management to develop and organize product line operational training, ensuring its deployment to develop personnel.
  • Works with PSL Manager to manage field product line personnel, including hiring, terminations, scheduling, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Assists with vendor management and oversees product line spending for given accounts.
  • Conducts and participates in pre-job (pre-task) meetings with fellow employees and documents on JHAs.
  • Ensures that all non-conformances are documented, investigated, and reported.
  • Ensures all product line employees follow work instructions and SOPs as assigned in QMS.
  • Manage key customer accounts within oilfield operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers from planning through execution.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Provide ongoing customer support, issue resolution, and communication.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and account growth.
  • Support forecasting of work, revenue, and customer needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee field operations including rig-up, rig-down, and job execution.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and operational capabilities.
  • Act as a field leader by guiding crews and ensuring efficient job execution.
  • Monitor job performance, KPIs, and service delivery quality.
  • Ensure all work is executed safely and in compliance with company and customer HSE standards.
  • Schedule and track personnel, equipment, and job resources.
  • Coordinate with operations, logistics, and management on crew and equipment needs.
  • Manage and adjust schedules based on operational demands and customer priorities.
  • Create and manage daily tickets (DTs), job tickets, and field documentation.
  • Ensure tickets are accurate, signed, and submitted timely.
  • Track job costs, performance metrics, and operational data.
  • Support billing processes and ensure alignment with services performed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in oilfield operations, account management, or field leadership
  • Strong understanding of oilfield service operations (Flowback, Drillout, Pressure Control, or related services preferred)
  • Experience in field coordination, scheduling, and customer-facing roles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HSE standards and oilfield safety requirements
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and drive account growth
  • Strong operational coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field locations as needed

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrains.
