Senior Operations Analyst at AERMOR LLC – Norfolk, Virginia

AERMOR is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst to support operational test design, data analysis, and evaluation of system performance. The selected candidate will apply advanced analytical methodologies, statistical techniques, and modeling and simulation (M&S) to assess operational effectiveness and support data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:

• Design and support operational test and evaluation activities
• Apply Operations Research Systems Analysis (ORSA) principles to assess system performance and effectiveness
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis using statistical, mathematical, and data mining techniques
• Develop measures and indicators of system performance and recommend actions to improve or correct deficiencies
• Apply scientific methods and statistical theory to test hypotheses using structured and unstructured data
• Support Modeling & Simulation (M&S) activities, including development of Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) packages
• Prepare M&S accreditation documentation, including Accreditation Letters
• Utilize operational test design software such as JMP or Design-Expert to support analysis efforts
• Develop and implement automated data analysis tools using scripting in Microsoft Excel, Access, or other database applications
• Prepare and deliver reports, briefings, and technical documentation to communicate analytical findings and recommendations

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in operational test design and Operations Research Systems Analysis (ORSA)
• Strong knowledge of mathematics, including algebra, calculus, statistics, and their applications
• Proven ability to apply analytical methodologies to evaluate operational effectiveness and suitability
• Experience identifying performance measures and selecting appropriate mathematical methods to solve complex problems
• Experience applying scientific, statistical, and data analysis techniques to support decision-making
• Experience supporting Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and VV&A processes
• Familiarity with operational test design software (e.g., JMP, Design-Expert)
• Experience with scripting and automation in Microsoft Excel, Access, or similar tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analysis results effectively
