Now, we’re expanding into Cincinnati and southern Ohio — and we’re looking for a results-driven State and Local Government/K12 Ed Account Executive to lead the way.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to own a new territory, build meaningful relationships with schools, and help K-12 districts and local government entities modernize their technology. As an Account Executive, you’ll sell Laketec’s full IT solutions portfolio, from advanced networking to collaboration tools and managed services. It’s a high-impact, high-visibility role with uncapped earning potential, career growth, and the opportunity to make a real difference in education and local government technology.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and execute a sales plan to grow our presence in Cincinnati and southern Ohio.
• Build relationships with IT decision-makers, superintendents, and district technology leaders and IT professionals within local governments.
• Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities across networking, cybersecurity, collaboration, and managed services.
• Lead the full sales cycle: discovery, solution design, presentation, negotiation, and close.
• Partner with Laketec’s engineers, project managers, and support teams to deliver customized solutions.
• Represent Laketec at local industry events and networking functions.
• Consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
What You Bring
• 3+ years of technology sales experience (preferably in networking, cybersecurity, or cloud solutions).
• A proven track record of hunting and winning net-new business.
• Strong knowledge of IT solutions and comfort with complex, multi-solution deals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and energized by building a new territory.
• Familiarity with the Cincinnati/southern Ohio K-12 and local government market is a plus.
• ERate knowledge a plus.
- Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Microsoft, Aruba, or similar partners preferred.
