This role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of tax, product, and technology within a fast-growing, global financial environment. You will act as a key subject matter expert, translating complex tax regulations into scalable product solutions that support international expansion. Working closely with engineering, product, and operations teams, you’ll help design and implement tax-compliant systems across multiple markets. The position combines strategic influence with hands-on execution, allowing you to shape product logic and ensure regulatory accuracy. You will also engage with external stakeholders and authorities, contributing to a robust and compliant ecosystem. - Act as the primary subject matter expert for German tax regulations related to financial products, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Translate complex tax legislation into clear requirements for product and engineering teams, supporting system design and implementation
- Contribute to the development and testing of tax calculation engines and reporting functionalities
- Support expansion into additional European markets by researching and integrating local tax frameworks
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on product features and operational processes
- Optimize and automate tax-related workflows to improve efficiency and scalability
- Serve as a key point of contact for tax authorities and coordinate with external advisors and compliance partners
- 4–7+ years of experience in tax advisory, capital markets taxation, or fintech/brokerage operations
- Strong expertise in German tax law, particularly regarding financial instruments and withholding models
- Ability to translate complex tax concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, or operations teams
- Fluency in English and native or near-native proficiency in German
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Relevant degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or Law
