Position: Parts Administrator
Department: Engineered Services Department
Primary Objective of Position:
Electric Machinery, WEG is looking for a Parts Administrator to provide industry-leading service for large industrial motors and generators to our customers worldwide. In this role, you will be required to provide timely quotations to customers and close sales. The successful candidate will support all aspects of parts sales from sales prospecting, to final delivery to and acceptance by the customer.
Responsibilities Include:
- The candidate will show a high level of enthusiasm and energy to resolve parts requests effectively and promote strong customer relationships.
- The candidate will deliver and explain quotes to the customer, ask for and close the sale.
- The candidate will enter orders into SAP, accurately interpreting customer requirements.
- The candidate will create and enter materials and bills of material into SAP as needed.
- The candidate will track and expedite in-house orders.
- The candidate will resolve invoice disputes with customer and/or finance as needed.
- The candidate will carry the 24-hour emergency parts cell phone as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS in Marketing, Business, Industrial technology, or 2+ years of general customer service/sales experience in industrial equipment or technical field.
- 2+ years of experience resolving customer complaints and collections.
- Knowledge of motors and generators, power generation systems, petro-chemical operations systems, paper, and other general industry systems.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency to affect timely response and resolution to customer requests.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and proven ability to effectively deal with difficult customers.
- Demonstrated ability to keep multiple tasks and activities coordinated, prioritized, documented, and in motion or progress at one time.
- Demonstrated capability for social interface with internal and external customers as required, achieving customer satisfaction excellence.
- Computer literate with knowledge of current operating systems and software common to business applications including; SAP, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities.
- This requires climbing stairs and moving over, around, and about shop machinery and in-process apparatus in a safe manner.
- Physical ability to climb a ladder and safely maneuver archived engineering files.
- Physical ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
