Job Description
Remote Senior Personal Injury Attorney
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Attorney - REMOTE. In this role, you will be part of an in-house legal team that plays a critical role in protecting the interests of the company and its policyholders in complex personal injury claims. You will independently manage cases, providing strategic legal guidance and advocating for fair resolutions. The position offers independence while ensuring collaboration within a remote legal environment, making it ideal for seasoned attorneys looking for a dynamic, flexible opportunity that impacts the lives of clients.
Accountabilities- Independently manage all aspects of PIP / No-Fault / SIU litigation from inception through resolution, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, and settlement negotiations.
- Handle complex, high-exposure PIP matters, leveraging advanced litigation strategies.
- Conduct SIU Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) and prepare detailed reports focusing on fraud indicators.
- Develop defense strategies, draft legal documents, and assess liabilities and damages.
- Conduct AAA No-Fault arbitrations and prepare witnesses and clients for testimony.
- Serve as a legal advisor to claims professionals, providing strategic case assessments.
- Proactively monitor changes in PIP / No-Fault laws and regulations to inform litigation strategy.
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- 5+ years of PIP / No-Fault litigation or equivalent experience in insurance defense.
- Ability to manage a full litigation caseload independently.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience conducting arbitrations, EUOs, and depositions.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of legal ethics and professional standards.
