Your role as a Staff Software Developer, Full Stack

As a Staff FullStack Developer in the Provider Experience group, you will be a key technical leader within the AXe Team (Automation & Experience). Your mission is to bridge the gap between complex backend automation and a seamless provider experience, driving the evolution of Dialogue’s ServiceOS - Dialogue's tech-powered operating system that automates care coordination and shifts our model toward direct-to-care.

You will report to the Director of Engineering and act as a force multiplier, ensuring that our clinical tools are not only powerful and automated but also highly intuitive and performant. At the Staff level (L3), you are expected to oversee the end-to-end technical strategy, ensuring that frontend modularity matches backend scalability while mentoring the broader engineering team.

What you'll be doing

  • Unified Codebase Mastery: Lead the architectural direction for both React (Web) and React Native (Mobile), ensuring a consistent and high-performance experience across all provider interfaces.
  • Frontend Architecture: Drive the strategy for frontend modularity and the creation of flexible UI "primitives" (Tasks, Forms, Notes) that facilitate rapid feature deployment.
  • End-to-End Integration: Design robust APIs and data contracts that bridge the gap between our Workflow engines and the user-facing Care Platform.
  • ServiceOS Evolution: Contribute to the technical strategy for automation tools, ensuring that AI-powered workflows are effectively surfaced to clinical users.
  • Engineering Excellence: Champion best practices in frontend observability, A/B testing infrastructure, and UI performance monitoring.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead cross-functional technical initiatives, draft architecture RFCs, and ensure consistent application of engineering standards across the full stack.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Strong Architecture Builder: 10+ years of software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex full-stack projects from discovery to production.
  • FullStack Mastery: Deep proficiency in React/React Native and Python (or similar backend languages), with the ability to navigate the entire stack with ease.
  • Product Thinking: A strong ability to translate complex clinical operational pain points into intuitive technical solutions and UI patterns.
  • Scalable UI Systems: Experience building or maintaining design systems and component libraries in a multi-tenant environment.
  • Mentorship: A passion for elevating the team's technical skills and fostering a culture of high-quality code and peer review.
  • Bilingualism: Essential for communicating technical concepts effectively in both French and English.

At Dialogue, your well-being is our priority

Taking care of others also means taking care of our team! Depending on your role and employment status, you could have access to the following benefits:

  • Access to the Dialogue app and virtual mental health support for you and your family
  • Fully funded insurance, a health spending account, dental coverage, and fitness reimbursement
  • 4 weeks vacation, 9 wellness days, and 1 volunteer day
  • Hybrid work: 3 days/week in our Montreal or Toronto offices, excluding remote roles
  • Work abroad up to 4 weeks/year
  • Incentive plans, referral bonuses & RRSP matching
  • Learning via Coursera, external training budget & mentorship
  • Optional parental leave top-up
