Job Description
The EHSQ Technician is responsible for supporting all EHSQ activities within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that ElectroCraft maintains a safe work environment and complies with applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. It also ensures the ElectroCraft Ohio facility will maintain and ship high quality product for our customers. The position is hands-on and plant-focused, supporting supervisors and employees with safety and quality execution, inspections, training coordination, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Safety & Health
- Conduct routine plant safety inspections, audits, and job safety observations
- Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors; assist with corrective and preventive action implementation
- Support incident, near-miss, and injury investigations, including root cause documentation
- Maintain OSHA injury and illness records (OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs)
- Support safety programs including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE, ergonomics, and hazardous energy control
- Monitor housekeeping, 5S, and general plant safety conditions
Training & Employee Engagement
- Coordinate safety training for new hires and current employees
- Track training completion and maintain accurate training records
- Assist supervisors with safety talks, refreshers, and awareness initiatives
- Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and communication
Quality
- Lead and participate in root cause investigations for supplier and manufacturing defects
- Determine, assign, implement, document, and track corrective and preventive actions
- Communicate with cross functional groups bother internal and external to the company
- Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and communication
Compliance & Documentation
- Monitor and enforce EHSQ policies and procedures
- Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazardous materials documentation
- Assist with internal and external safety audits and inspections
- Track permits, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance deadlines
- Assist with workers’ compensation reporting and documentation
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in plant safety and quality initiatives
- Track and report EHSQ performance metrics and trends
- Recommend improvements to safety, quality, and compliance procedures, work practices, and documentation
Preferred Experience or Skills
- Associate degree in Safety, Quality, Environmental Health, Industrial Technology, or related field
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Regular presence on the manufacturing floor
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and inspect equipment
- Ability to wear required PPE
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds

Requirements:Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of experience supporting safety, quality, or compliance in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general manufacturing safety practices
- Working knowledge of quality expectations and practices
- Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with hourly and salaried employees
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
