Summary:
We are looking for a visionary VP of Publisher Acquisition & Growth to lead, scale, and optimize our Publisher Acquisition Engine—the primary driver of our company's growth. This isn’t a traditional recruiting role; it is a high-stakes growth leadership position. You won’t just be measuring "hires"—you will be measuring market density, launch predictability, and ROI.
As the VP of Publisher Acquisition & Growth, you own the full funnel—from the first marketing touchpoint to the successful launch of a new publication. You will lead a high-performance organization responsible for identifying, attracting, and onboarding the entrepreneurial talent that powers our brand.
You will be the architect of a dual-track (inbound and outbound) system, treated as a measurable, data-driven growth engine. Your goal is simple but ambitious: Increase conversion, reduce cost-per-launch, and scale our national footprint.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a diversified acquisition strategy. You will allocate spend based on downstream conversion, unit economics (LTV/CAC), and cost-per-launch.
- Stand up and scale a world-class outbound recruiting team. You’ll define the target market strategy, build the sourcing playbooks, and implement the outreach cadences that deliver a predictable pipeline.
- Design sophisticated nurture systems to improve candidate readiness and yield. Increase conversion from existing demand to reduce reliance on incremental paid spend.
- Ensure corporate recruiting and field operations function as a single, unified system to meet regional growth objectives.
- Optimize inbound, outbound, and referral workflows for efficiency and scalability. Manage acquisition costs and drive automation and technology integration to improve performance.
- Lead a high-performance recruiting organization with clear ownership, dashboards, forecasting, and accountability for results.
- Implement a test & learn program that will rigorously prioritize and measure every change, using automation, AI, and modern tech stacks (ATS/CRM) to drive efficiency.
Skills and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Has built and scaled high-volume acquisition engines for customer-facing roles (Sales, Franchises, or 1099 talent).
- Strong performance-driven background applying measurement and optimization to the entire talent acquisition pipeline process.
- Strategic, adaptive and problem-solving mindset and strong hands-on orientation ranging from talent acquisition strategy over a 12–18-month period, to ensuring day-to-day issues are addressed and resolved quickly.
- Outstanding team leadership skills to hire, train and drive the success of each team member.
What will make you stand out:
- Experience in franchise, agent, entrepreneurial, or distributed field-sales recruiting environments.
- Expert in leveraging ATS, CRM (HubSpot/Greenhouse), and AI tools to create a competitive advantage.
- Experience in performance marketing or lifecycle automation.
- P&L-style accountability experience with budget and operations orientation, ensuring ROI of the entire acquisition engine.
- Proven ability to architect a modern growth stack, expertly blending AI, social media tools, and robust systems into a seamless, high-performance engine.
If you are ready to take the reins of a national growth engine and leave a lasting mark on the industry, we want to talk to you.
