About This Position

Meridians Restaurant within the Sun City Lincoln Hills Community Association is seeking a professional, service oriented Banquet Server to support catered events in our ballroom and banquet facilities.

This hybrid role combines food service and serving responsibilities to deliver an exceptional experience for members and guests in alignment with the Association’s goals and service standards. Reporting to the Banquet Manager and Banquet Captain, the Banquet Server assists with room setup, including tables, chairs, linens, tableware, glassware, and buffet arrangements, and provides timely, attentive food and beverage service throughout events. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, presenting menu items, serving plated meals or buffets, clearing tableware, and maintaining proper service protocols. This position is also responsible for setting up, stocking, operating, and cleaning bar areas; serving alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages; monitoring guest consumption; suggesting premium beverages or menu items when appropriate; and complying with all state, local, and Association alcohol service regulations.

The Banquet Server is expected to maintain clean and organized workstations, wait stations, bus stations, furnishings, and bar areas, assist with banquet equipment maintenance and storage, track inventory levels during events, and support post event cleanup. Consistently high customer service is required, including responding promptly and courteously to guest needs and informing supervisory staff of any guest concerns or complaints. This role requires the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours; perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds using a buddy system; and adapt to indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and lighting.

Minimum Qualification:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a full service restaurant or similar environment
• Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification, or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
• Food Handler Card, or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Professional appearance appropriate for a high volume service environment
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification desirable
