Litigation & Recovery Specialist at Channel – Marshall, Minnesota

Position Responsibilities

The Litigation & Recovery Specialist focuses on minimizing losses and maximizing recoveries on defaulted commercial accounts. Responsibilities include communicating with customers and partners regarding their payment requirements and coordinating with legal and outside counsel as needed. The best candidates will be self-motivated and independent with a strong attention to detail.

Key Tasks

• Review and analyze financial and other relevant information related to recovery opportunities.
• Review, analyze and provide recommendations on matters for litigation.
• Research, investigate and compile information and documentation related to litigation matters.
• Communication with parties or their representatives regarding settlement and repayment negotiations.
• Communication and collaboration with internal and outside legal on litigation and bankruptcy matters.
• Communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders on proper tracking and recording of recoveries.
• Prepare and contribute to recovery reporting for assigned accounts.

Skills & Specifications

• Excellent professional, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proactive self-starter, excellent attention to detail, a heightened awareness to deadlines, and a demonstrated ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel

Education & Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of Equipment Finance/Working Capital transactions
• 3+ years of collections experience
