Job Description

Registered Dietician - Outpatient

Summary: Under the direction of the Regional Practice Manager, provides Medical Nutrition Therapy through assessment of the nutritional status of each client and through the development, implementation and monitoring of an appropriate nutritional plan of care.

Education: Bachelor Degree in nutrition, dietetics, or food science.

Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Dietitian with the State of Rhode Island. Maintains current registration with the American Dietetic Association.

Experience: 1-3 yrs. experience including internship or equivalent.

Working Conditions: General pleasant working environment with little or no distractions or exposure to unpleasant or hazardous elements. Meets all safety training requirements associated with the Medical Center. Duties are a combination of extensive mental and manual skills. Manual skills are required such as finger, eye and hand dexterity for such activities as utilization of a computer. Will sit at desk most of the day. Interrelationships: The employee must consistently demonstrate effective oral, listening and written skills in transferring information within and between departments. The employee is required to provide a high level of customer service.
