The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the design, prototyping, and validation of mechanical components and test systems for next-generation AI infrastructure. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with CAD tools, building and iterating prototypes, and assisting with lab testing and data collection. You will collaborate with experienced engineers across the full development cycle—from concept design to experimental validation—while developing practical skills in rapid prototyping, measurement techniques, and engineering analysis. This is a great opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while learning in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Design prototype fixtures, concept designs, test coupons, and mechanical assemblies in SolidWorks
• Fabricate and iterate prototypes using rapid prototyping and external machine shops
• Execute lab bring-up of new fixtures and test platforms; own first-article validation
• Perform surface profiling, substrate warpage, and TTV measurements
• Set up and run pressure mapping, electromigration, and compression characterization tests
• Document test procedures, measurement data, and failure analyses

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered)
• Able to work full-time on-site in Saratoga CA
• Proficient in SolidWorks — 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings, GD&T
• Demonstrated hands-on rapid prototyping experience (FDM, SLA, CNC, or equivalent)
• Practical lab skills: instrumentation setup, data acquisition, measurement
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment

The starting base salary for the selected candidate will be established based on their relevant skills, experience, qualifications, work location, market trends, and the compensation of employees in comparable roles.
