Associate Director, SAP Reporting

The position plays a critical role in shaping data-driven decision-making by delivering advanced dashboards, KPIs, and reporting solutions across global operations. Working within a highly collaborative ERP Center of Excellence, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve reporting standards, governance, and data accessibility. The role combines leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to support a rapidly evolving business landscape. You will oversee external development teams, optimize reporting processes, and ensure compliance within a regulated industry environment. Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage external reporting and analytics development teams to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of dashboards, KPIs, and reporting solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise reporting solutions using SAP DataSphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Power BI.
  • Establish and manage a structured intake and prioritization process for reporting requests from business stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Build and maintain a centralized self-service reporting catalog containing dashboards, KPIs, metrics, and reporting assets.
  • Ensure all reporting and analytics activities comply with GxP regulations and validation standards within a life sciences environment.
  • Collaborate with Global Process Owners, Business Process Managers, Data Stewards, IT teams, and governance committees to align reporting strategies with business objectives and enterprise data standards.
  • Support data governance initiatives by participating in governance forums, aligning reporting policies, and providing project updates and recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data visualization, reporting performance, and analytics best practices across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in reporting and analytics development, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with SAP DataSphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems, enterprise data architecture, and data management principles.
  • Mandatory experience with GxP compliance and validation processes in the life sciences or regulated industry environment.
  • Proficiency in SAC scripting (JavaScript-based), SQL, and advanced data modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture, enterprise data security, and hybrid BI environments.
  • Strong ability to design intuitive dashboards, define meaningful KPIs, and apply data visualization best practices.
  • Experience optimizing reporting performance, tuning queries, and resolving complex data challenges.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP certification and SAP certifications in SAC, DataSphere, or BDC are considered a plus.
