Pay Range: $34.44-$56.83*

CHMC – Wound Ostomy Nurse – Full Time- Day Shift – Requisition 7691

A Wound Ostomy Nurse In Training serves as a consult for clinicians for patients with fecal and urinary diversions and chronic wounds. The WON provides in-services and orientation for staff, develops and monitors standards of care and tracks and reports pressure ulcer prevalence and incidence.

• Diabetes Education and Wound Ostomy Services Manager

EDUCATION:

Required:

• Associates Degree in Nursing

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or within 2 years of hire

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Valid NYS RN license

• BLS Certification

• WON Certification within 5 years of position start date

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years of acute nursing experience

• Demonstrated leadership ability

• Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals

• Excellent organization skills

• Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines

• Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities

• Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the documentation of information

• Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies
