Bachelor’s Degree, Business or Healthcare Administration required.

Experience

Requires 2 - 5 years of healthcare experience preferably with knowledge of the reimbursement/denials process.

Normal hospital environment. Close eye work and hearing within normal range. Oral communication. Operates computer, fax and copier. Long periods of sitting. Occasional walking, bending, and climbing. May lift, carry, push and pull up to 5 pounds.

JOB SUMMARY
-
- Overall, works to increase revenue capture by assisting hem/onc revenue cycle and business office as needed. Responsible for reviewing infusion claims to maximize reimbursement. Review claims for appropriate payment, overall accuracy, and potential need for appeal or refiling. Identifies trends in denials and underpayments and reports information to revenue cycle team for correction. Works with other departments such as pharmacy to ensure biosimilar drug regimens are consistent with payor preference. Responsible for proactively seeking additional funding through co pay assistance and grant programs. Analyzes information, assigns follow-up responsibility. Ability to manage competing priorities, multi-task with results oriented outcomes and work in a fast paced environment. This position is required to utilize independent judgment.
