Job Description

Community LIFE is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support to older adults (55+) living in the community. We are adding an On-Call RN position to our team.

Schedule: On-Call from 4pm to 8am Monday-Friday and 24 hours a day on weekends. EVERY OTHER WEEK ONLY. This position will be considered full time and will be paid a full time salary for working every other week. This position requires the ability to arrive at our participants homes within 45 minutes of receiving a call.

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 / year

Locations: Wilkinsburg & Homestead and surrounding communities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, advise, teach, and coordinate care for older adult participants
  • Evaluate participants for episodic illness after business hours in collaboration with the Provider
  • Document care provided and changes in participant's condition in a timely manner
  • Provide nursing care and prescribed treatments
  • Demonstrate nursing care to participants and caregivers/families

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing school
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with a frail or elderly population, preferably in long term care, home care, or community health
  • Experience in teaching patients and other healthcare workers is preferred
  • Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Possess a valid PA Driver’s License
