Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Design seat cushions patterns from photos, written or oral instructions, drawings and dimensions.
Fabricate cushions according to our basic ergonomic principles and patterns.
Take field notes and dimensions.
Disassemble and re-assemble seat assemblies as required.
Inspect materials and finished work to ensure quality.
Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Maintain positive and professional working relationships with employees.
Responsible for understanding and complying to our Quality Management System Procedures, Work Instructions, etc.:
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read a ruler
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Able to operate band saw, electric knife and other hand tools
Ability to interpret patterns and read drawings
Ability to apply adhesives
Ability to work with changing priorities or deadlines
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to speak and read English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine correspondence and reports.
Ability to speak effectively to customers and other employees
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
