Frank Liquor Company is now hiring a Sales Representative. This route will serve on and off-premise customers in the key cities of Dodgeville, Mt. Horeb, and Mineral Point.
The team members of Frank Liquor Company are committed, innovative leaders of the beverage industry through marketing, selling, distributing, merchandising, and servicing quality products to our valued customers.
In this role, you will develop and sustain professional sales relationships while promoting and merchandising the company’s products and programs across accounts within your assigned territory. Collaborating closely with your manager through a structured pre-planning process, you will work to meet both individual and company sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular account visits, product education, staff trainings, and exceptional customer service.
- Grow sales and distribution by securing new placements, introducing new products, executing promotions, and achieving sales objectives.
- Manage customer accounts, including order entry, inventory monitoring, pricing communication, collections, reporting, and supplier surveys.
- Analyze sales trends, monitor competitive activity, and identify opportunities to improve account performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers, merchandisers, delivery teams, and internal departments to execute sales initiatives and customer programs.
- Participate in sales meetings, trainings, supplier work-withs, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Assist with special orders, transactional programming, and other account support activities as needed.
- Mentor and support new team members through training and coaching opportunities.
Off-Premise Responsibilities
- Merchandise products and maintain displays, point-of-sale materials, cold boxes, shelves, and backstock in accordance with company and supplier standards.
- Ensure product quality through proper rotation, code date monitoring, and inventory management practices.
- Support category resets, promotional displays, and retail execution to maximize product visibility and sales.
On-Premise Responsibilities
- Conduct customer and staff product trainings and education sessions.
- Develop and maintain on-premise visibility through menus, signage, point-of-sale materials, and promotional programming.
- Support account growth through product recommendations, event participation, and execution of supplier initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to influence others, drive results, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with a variety of customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Basic math and analytical skills, including pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other sales-related technology platforms.
- Presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to educate customers on products, brands, and industry trends.
- Working knowledge of sales processes, merchandising principles, supplier marketing standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Understanding of state and federal regulations related to alcohol sales and distribution.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year of sales experience required; beverage, distribution, hospitality, or supplier industry experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required liquor sales permits.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
